Whatever you do, do not follow the solution from Ironbadger. Broke all working HP printers after  using HP Easy Setup

The full solution will only be a recompiled set of HP drivers/software with a valid certificate.

 

This thing is escalating rapidly (the expired certificate has broken thousands of printers around the world, including corporate ones) and gaining headlines everywhere so I suppose we will not have to wait for too long.

I sure hope that this is getting some attention at HP. I have a much older printer/scanner, but it worked great until now and did not see a reason to replace it.

Has anyone got a resolution regarding this matter? HP must be desperate to lose customers to Epson. This is ridiculous!!
