HP officejet 4630
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Many attempts to uninstall my Officejet 4630 printer have failed. I've replace the printer but can't remove it because drivers and possibly other software is missing. Attempts toreinstall have also failed.

How can I get this beast removed completely from mt PC?

You may manually uninstall the printer software from the add/remove wizard.

  • Press Windows + R and type appwiz.cpl and click on OK.
  • Uninstall the programs associated with printer.

In addition to that, remove the driver manually.

  • Press Windows + R and type devmgmt.msc and click on OK.
  • Expand the categories and look for your printer.
  • Right click on it and select uninstall
  • Make sure to check the box which says delete drivers
  • Restart the PC and check

Thanks- I followed your suggestions.

When I tried uninstalling HP…Software, I got these error messages:

Error 2147467259 Failed to find driver packages to process

                                    OK

HP Officejet 4630 Basic Software

InstallCustomActions:CopyPortMonitorFiles:

3+CopyFile(C:\HP\HP Officejet 4630 series\Bin\\HPDiscoPMC611.dll DST:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\HPDiscoPMC611.dll)

                                    OK

Error:3 Failed to copy port monitor files

                                    OK

When I tried the device manager, The HP printer wasn’t listed

I'm not sure what all that means but those are the error messages I kept getting during my previous attempts as well.

Search for the HPDiscoPMC611.dll  file and delete any found.

I've been unable to find any file with the name HPDiscoPMC611.dll

At this point I would suggest runnning a 3rd party uninstaller program.

Thanks for your efforts. Even though we didn't succeed, I've gained a little insight.
Do you have a suggestion about the 3rd party uninstaller?

I believe using a 3rd party uninstaller may have resolved my issue. I appreciate the assistance I got from the responder, 8Lives (Dean).

I tried various suggestions from community.  Yesterday in a remote support an HP person uninstalled it.  But today  I am stil receiving the Run DLL error message. "There was a problem starting C:\Program Files\HP\HP Officejet Pro 6830\bin\HPStatusBL.dll    The specified module could not be found."  Now I can't get through to HP to ask about it.
