After a print job finishes, the print queue never clears and still shows printing as the status even though it printed successfully. If I do nothing, several hours later it will print the same documents a second time even though they printed once already. If I cancel the print job in the queue, it says deleting for way too long then sometime up to an hour later, I get an error message. Once I get the error message, I can then go to the print queue and it deletes instantly. i have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, I have added a  new port, I have tried clearing the Print Spooler, I have tried the HP Print & Scan Doctor, I have tried several of the solutions on this support forum. But no matter what, the solution may clear the problem once, but it always occurs again. I would really like to find a PERMANENT SOLUTION. Someone please help me solve this problem !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks !! My printer problem seems to be solved...time will tell if the problem returns, but it is much better than it has been for quite a while. If I print one page, by the time I check the print queue it is empty...a very nice thing. The process to fix it was extremely long...took about 3 hours to upload all the Windows updates and install them, then uninstall and reinstall my printer, but if it is truly fixed, it will be worth it. Thanks again for your help and guidance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
