I am having the same problem with my HP Office Jet 8500 series 909g. Very frustrating, having spent a fortune on ink in case that is the problem. I am glad to hear that replacing the printheads does nothing to solve the problem. I will not bother to spend that extra. Instead I will go out and purchase a NON HP printer. The fact that you can only talk to someone if your printer is still under warranty is infuriating. What kind of customer service is that? All the paper that has been wasted on these millions of alignment efforts, not to mention the ink! I have always bought HP. Never again.

Sorry, my young friend. My solution was to buy a new 8620 for printing and using my 8500 for copying. The 8500 still works great for copies and scans ... but computer initiated printing is OUT!!! I am curious... what is your total page count on your 8500?
Best wishes

There must be a fix cause someone on here said they fixed it and it was easier than he thought it would be. Mine was working fine with no problems until I had a paper jam. After clearing the jams it started an alignment and just goes on forever. Cmon HP figure it out, you made the printer you should be able to figure this out. You are also being ripped in every forum Ive been to for non support. Im sure you are losing money. I bet its something simple like one said on here so call him and see what he did then let us know.
