I’m trying to realign my printer but the alignment paper itself isn’t printing with proper alignment so every realignment ends up wonky, there’s a large margin left blank on top and the two squares near the bottom get cut off. It’s a hp 5200 series printer if that helps.

Hi @Mflores204,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing alignment issues with your HP 5200 series printer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.
- Check Printer Settings: Make sure your printer settings are correctly configured for the paper size you're using. Incorrect settings can lead to misalignment.
- Clean Printer Heads: Sometimes misalignment can be caused by dirty or clogged printer heads. Use your printer's maintenance tools to clean the printer heads.
- Use High-Quality Paper: Low-quality or damaged paper can cause alignment issues. Make sure you're using good quality, undamaged paper that's suitable for your printer.
- Calibration: Some printers have a calibration or alignment feature that you can access through the printer's settings menu. Check your printer's manual to see if there's a calibration option available.
- Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing issues.
- Reset Printer: Try resetting your printer to its default settings. This can sometimes resolve alignment issues caused by software glitches.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the alignment issues with your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
