My printer pulls in the photo paper, but it won't feed it through as it prints the photo. Once the printer finishes printing, the paper feeds through. New ink cartridges and hp photo paper. Cleaned rollers and reset printer. Printed test page on regular paper and it works fine. Just the photo paper that won't feed. How can I get the paper to feed so that the photo prints on the paper?

Hi @mlabelle,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that your HP PSC 1315v will not feed photo paper. I am happy to help!

What is the size/type/weight of the photo paper you are using?

In the meantime, please go through this out of paper guide, 'Out of Paper' Error Message Displays on the Computer and the Product Does Not Pick Up or Feed Paper.

Hope to hear from you soon! :generic:

Hi mlabelle,

According to your printer specifications, found at this website, Printer Specifications for HP PSC 1315, 1315v, 1315xi, and 1315s Printers, this printer supports at maximum, this size/weight of photo paper. 10 x 15 cm (4 x 6 inches) Photo, 236 gsm (145 lb).

Most likely the reason it is not feeding is that the paper is too heavy for the printer. It would also explain why regular paper works fine.

The best suggestion is to try another type of photo paper that is lighter in weight.

For future reference, here is your printer's user guide. HP PSC 1315 All-in-One Printer User guides.

Hope this clears things up for you, and have a great day! Smiley Happy

It's a shame that the box of paper says "works with ALL inkjet printers". It's even in bold like that on the box. Now I have an open box of paper that is useless to me. Thanks for your help. Any idea who I can talk to about getting a refund on that box of paper?

So I picked up another pack of hp photo paper. This time I got the Everyday photo paper, Glossy, 4x6", 200g/m2. It will still not feed through my printer. When I press the On button it will come out, but it doesn't move as the printer tries to print. Suggestions?

Hi mlabelle,

All I can suggest is to try this guide, 'Out of Paper' Error Message Displays on the Computer and the Product Does Not Pick Up or Feed Paper, with the new paper you got.

Otherwise, if that guide does not help, then there is a hardware related issue with the printer, and it will need to be replaced/upgraded depending on if you are in warranty. To upgrade/replace your printer, please call our phone support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region. Best of luck! :generic:

Hello,

This happens to me ALL the time. This was  never a problem when I first got the printer though. Have you found a solution?
