My printer is showing the orange attention LED (the printer has stopped due to a major error) however my printer is working with no problem (at least so far) - I have tried all the suggestions from 'troubleshooting' / technical support - any ideas what else I can try to either detect the fault or get attention LED to go off - thanks

Suggestion: ignore the LED.

Because the printer is printing.

Attention light blinks and the printer stops printing

This condition occurs when the toner collection unit (TCU) is full.

To resolve the error, replace the TCU.

Or are other LEDs flashing?

?

Replacing a TCU (Toner Collection Unit)

You have to buy a new TCU.
That's why the LED is flashing!

thank you for keeping trying to help - I have bought and fitted a new TCU but it made no difference - the orange attention LED is on all the time (not flashing) which (according to the manual) means the printer has stopped due to a major error however printer still working

Attention and Power lights are on

This condition occurs when the printer is in a fatal error state.

Reset the printer to clear the printer error.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the power source.

Wait 60 seconds.

Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet and to the printer.
Note:

HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

If the issue persists, continue to the Service the printer section at the end of this document.

the only other LED light flashing is power symbol (when printer is in power save mode) LED power light is on when I am printing - Orange LED light goes off when I am printing but comes back on (constant) as soon as printing completed - thanks again
