I have an HP ENVY Inspire 7921e All-in-One Printer. Today I unplugged the printer and moved it to the other side of my desk. When I plugged it back in the display went blue with the Error Code B80B4696, the power and WIFI lights are flashing as well as the return, home, and ? lights.

I've tried following the steps laid out in one of the other threads with the same issue, but it hasn't helped.

What else can I try?

Hi @ Awake4Cake,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you are encountering a specific error code (B80B4696) on your HP ENVY Inspire 7921e All-in-One Printer after moving it to a different location. The flashing lights indicate that there might be an issue that needs attention. Here are some general steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:

  1. Restart the Printer:
    • Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, and wait for about 60 seconds.
    • Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  2. Check for Paper Jams:
    • Make sure there are no paper jams in the printer. Open all access doors and remove any paper that may be stuck.
  3. Check Connectivity:
    • Ensure that all cables are securely connected to the printer.
    • Check the wireless connection if you are using Wi-Fi. Make sure the printer is connected to the correct network.
  4. Update Firmware:
    • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. If so, update the firmware following the manufacturer's instructions.
  5. Reset the Printer:
    • Some printers have a reset button or sequence. Check the printer manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  6. Factory Reset:
    • As a last resort, you may consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Be aware that this will erase any custom settings you have made. Refer to the printer manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
    •

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you, I THINK this may have worked.

I had to power cycle the printer a few times (including flushing the power by holding the power on button while it was unplugged) this allowed the printer to turn on just long enough for me to get into settings and do a factory reset. I'm trying to set it up again through HP Smart in the hope that this has fixed it!

Thanks for your help
