Installed printer new a few days ago, won't print the bottom margins of pages and documents. Comes up in the print preview but not on the pages printed.

Welcome to the HP User Community.

HP manufactures and sells thousands of printers.

It might be that you have purchased one of the models that requires a larger bottom margin.

For example,

Many DeskJet printers support the following margins:

Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)3 mm

How to find which computer / printer / HP device you have:

Finding your Product Name, Product Number, or Serial Number

so there is no way to change the bottom margin? I got the printer to print business flyers, posters, etc, and having such a large bottom margin looks really bad.

There is no way for us to check what / if something can be done unless we know which printer  you have.

===================================

Rechecked for you...

This printer is indeed one of the DeskJet models and it does require the larger bottom margin...

No, there is no override - the margin setting is a hardware limitation.

Print Margin Bottom (A4)12.7 mm
Print Margin Left (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Right (A4)3 mm
Print Margin Top (A4)

3 mm

Suggestion:

Create the original document with 1/2 inch margins on all sides to accommodate the need for the one side "larger edge".

Remember that simply switching the orientation (without changing the margins to accommodate the required space) won't work.  The "larger" margin edge would just be shifted to the side.

Personal Opinion

This printer is perhaps not the right tool for the job as you describe it.

One of the better OfficeJet Pro models would better suit your requirements, I think.

If you require (that) your data to be automatically scanned two-sided, be sure you get a model that supports this option (for example, the OfficeJet Pro 9025e).

OfficeJet Pro models typically support automatic two sided and booklet printing, and support a large number of paper sizes, paper types, and smaller margins on all sides.  Most OfficeJet Pro (of which I am aware) also support Borderless printing (dependent on paper size / type and content type).
