We would have to perform an OOBE reset on the printer.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.

I have an HP Envy 7155 and can not find the setting in the software to disable the cartridge protection.

Hi I have the same printer and it did not come with set-up cartridges. Please DM me the work-around.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device. 

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
