I purchased an opened (but never used) envy 5055 that didn't have set-up cartridges. I have new ones, but I can't get past the screen instructing me to use the set-up ones. How can I bypass this to set up the printer?

I don't have my setup cartridges, but I bought new HP ink. I can only get to the "use SETUP cartridges" screen and no further. It won't initialize after hours of trying to troubleshoot and I am so beyond frustrated.

Can you please send me that email?

@HaydenM, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

To bypass the message on the printer the only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Support Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
