HELLO,

I HAVE A PRINTER HP OFFICE JET PRO 8025 WHICH I USED LESS THAN 6 MONTHS. THE FIRST TIME, I WAS ABLE TO PRINT OUT LESS THAN 100 PAGES WITH THE BRAND NEW CARTRIDGES. RIGHT AFTER THE SECOND TIME THAT I REPLACED THE CARTRDGES, I WAS ABLE PRINT OUT AROUND 30 OR 50. AND I KEEP GETTING THE SAME ERROR.

IT SAYS CARTRIDGE PROBLEM. ONE OR MORE CARTRIDGES ARE MISSING OR DAMAGED. UNTIL  REPLACED OR....

IT LOOKS LIKE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THESE MODELS.

THEREFORE, I WOULD LIKE TO GET HELP REGARDING ONGOING ISSUES EVEN THOUGH I REPLACED THE CARTRIDGES VERY RECENTLY (ALSO THE CARTRIGES ARE STILL FULL).

PLEASE HELP ME WITH A TROUBLESHOOT OR DEVICE REPLACEMENT. I DON'T NEED A FANCY ONE BUT I WOULD LIKE A GOOD SOLID WORKING MODEL.

Hi @HANIFIMANIFI

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025 is having trouble recognizing the cartridges.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure the cartridges are genuine HP cartridges and compatible with the HP OfficeJet Pro 8025. Non-genuine or incompatible cartridges can trigger errors.

2. Inspect and Clean the Cartridges:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Remove the cartridges and inspect them for damage or leaks.
  • Gently clean the gold-colored electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water. Allow them to dry completely before reinserting.

3. Reset the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is turned on.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds, then reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

4. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve compatibility issues with new cartridges.

5. Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Unplug the printer, hold the power button for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Turn it on and check if the error clears.

I tried in anyway with my spouse. It did not work. There is on going one or more cartridges are missing error. I think I am going to trash your printer or only use for scanning purpose and get a brother brand instead. I will never buy HP

Hi @HANIFIMANIFI

We sincerely thank you for your patience and co-operation during this troubleshooting process.

I hear your frustration, and I’m truly sorry to learn that despite your efforts, the issue persists. Printer cartridge errors can be exceptionally aggravating, especially when you’ve put in the time to troubleshoot and still hit a wall.

Before you decide to retire the printer completely, I’d be happy to go over anything you might have missed
