CP4025. Was working fine and able to print just prior. Did a cleanout of it's insides with light air. Now when trying to print from tray 2, it will display a "Clearing Paper Path" message for a few moments, then going into "13.30.00 Jam In Tray 2", exactly like this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzfb1oTmphA.

Per the service manual here (https://www.laserexpressinc.com/manuals/HP/hp-clj-cp4020-cp4520-service-manual.pdf), a 13.30 is "Leading edge of media fed from Tray 1 is stopped before A" which is the SR20 Top-of-Page sensor
(TOP).

- Able to print using tray 1 manual feed, so printer in general and to that point is sound.

- The video shows it has a wide space between the rollers:

Mine isn't like that, it's nice and tight:

- Running the TRAY 2 PICKUP MOTOR component test, I see the bottom roller work

- Running the TRAY 2 PICKUP SOLENOID component test, I hear a click, but nothing else.

- Paper Path Sensor Test shows the following, with a flashing orange alert on the panel:

Unsure of where to go from here.

Does the error occur at startup or only when you try to print from tray 2? If it does not appear on startup that would suggest that you do not have a jam paper issue. Check the mechanism closely and make sure that all rollers are properly locked in place. I have seen cases where the rollers are not locked on properly and rather than rotate,  the drive shaft simply spins.

The difference in gap may simply be the extreme wear of the rollers shown in the video.

Sounds like a pick error and if everything else is in place, you might need to replace the pick assembly.

Roller separation on your unit is normal, this is one of our inhouse 4525 (same print engine, different formatter)

@Repairatrooper

"Does the error occur at startup or only when you try to print from tray 2?"

Only when trying to print from tray 2. Bootup shows Ready and everything is fine.

For anyone coming upon this, I futzed with the rollers making sure they were locked in place like @ Repairatrooper said, and I guess that was the issue since everything subsequently worked.
