Have recently purchased this printer and has been working fine. Registered with Instant Ink and in the process of claiming cash back. Last week when photocopying we changed the copy to black & white. Now today we are trying to print in colour and all we receive is a black & white printer. We cannot seem to identify a way of changing settings to colour on either the desktop or the printer itself! I'm sure it must be very simple but it doesn't seem very obvious to us.

@Ladylunch, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Try changing the settings on the driver-
Go to devices and printers and right click under printer properties then go to device settings and go almost all the way down to device type an change to color and save the change then go to printer preferences and in the color tab make sure the option print in grayscale it is not checked.
If the issue persists, you can try reinstalling the print drivers-
1) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2) Select your HP Printer
3) Select Uninstall
4) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe”
😎 Click on the “Drivers” tab
9) Look for the HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10) Select Ok
11) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12) Close Devices and Printers.
Now, download and install the full-featured software from here.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
