Microsoft Windows 11

I have tried repeatedly to install new 8130e.  It is replacing my 9710.  I am using HP Smart and Smart Ink.  Was able to delete the old and add the new.  However, after printing one sample page I get the F0.01.01.02 printer error.  Description is critical systems error.  Its solution is to restart and if the error keeps returning to contact tech support.  Can't find anywhere where I can contact a real human via chat.  What now?

Hi @BJRyman,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code F0.01.01.02 you're encountering with your HP Officejet Pro 8130e indicates a critical system error. You've already tried restarting the printer, which is a good first step.

Here are some next steps you can try.

  • Update the printer firmware: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause compatibility issues. HP provides firmware updates on their website. You can find the latest update for your printer model by searching for your printer on the HP support website https://support.hp.com/us-en. Download and install the update following the instructions provided by HP.
  • Reset the printer to factory defaults: This will erase all the printer's settings and restore it to its original configuration. Consult your printer's manual for specific instructions on resetting the printer to factory defaults.
  • Check for software conflicts: If you recently installed any new software on your computer, try temporarily uninstalling it to see if it resolves the conflict.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
