Alli-in-one c410b
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Internet service provide  (lets call it Personal broadband) and this has a WifFi modem and combined Router.

It is a BT HomeHub5

I have the printer connected by WiFi to this router and I have a number of devices that connect to router via ethernet or Wifi and they print  (well most of the time)

My employer paid to install a 2nd interent service to my house (lets call it Business broadband) this is also provided on a BT HomeHub5.

I have moved my business Laptop off personal network onto the business network  (physical ethernet connection) ....and it can no longer communicate with the printer ... (ping test confirms it can't see it)

Is there an easy way to connect up this printer so it can be used by devices on both networks ?

I don't want to have to install a 2nd printer ... and email all items to print between devices is a pain.

All Pc's that print to the printer are W10 64 bit

Didn't get any response ,,, so decided to test and yes ... you can have PC on one network connected by USB and the other PC on a different network connected by WiFi   ... it does work.

Hi,

Unfortunately you can only connect printer to ONE network.

Regards.

Just a thought could I connect 'wired' to one PC that is on Business network, and wirless to my hub ............. or is it 1 network only - even if were to wire one of them.

I have been given some hope .... on a PC support forum, it was mentioned that you can access a WiFi printer across 2 networks if  the printer supports ... WiFi Dircet.

In this instance there is no connection  of the printer  to the WiFi APm instead each device connects direct to the printer.

There is a HP page on this:

http://www8.hp.com/uk/en/campaigns/wireless-printing-center/wireless-direct.html

Does the C410B support WiFi direct ?

Unfortunately, the Photosmart Premium C410B does not support the modern-day version of "Wireless Direct".

It does support the older "ad-hoc" direct wifi connection, but I believe neither would be a good solution for you.  Reason being, you would have to disconnect from the internet and connect the PC directly to the printer.  This would preclude you from printing anything from an online source unless it was saved locally to the PC...

You can find info on making the ad-hoc connection on page 9 of your User Guide.

Thnx ... I will still keep searching ... this is a conundrum

Will printer allow one PC via USB and one via WiFi ?

Could one of the HP experts advise ... can I connect 1 PC via SiFi and the other PC via USB .... would that be allowed ?
