Getting the Carriage Cartridge Stalled screen on the printer itself. Ran through all of the troubleshooting steps and no resolution. The carriage itself is locked on the right side. There are no paper jams. I have powered off on several times, checked and installed all driver updates and still not resolve.

Hi @cpr1972

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your OfficeJet Pro 9018e printer. When the print carriage is stuck, it can be caused by various reasons such as a mechanical issue or a software issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check the printer for any debris or paper that may be obstructing the print carriage. Use a flashlight to see inside the printer and remove any obstructions that you find.
  • Check if the print carriage is moving freely or if it's getting stuck. If it's stuck, try gently pushing it to the left side of the printer to see if it will move. Be careful not to force it, as this could cause further damage.
  • If the print carriage is still stuck, try resetting the printer to its default settings. To do this, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously for three seconds, then release them.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
