     Dear Sirs,

     I need some tech support.

I have two printers, HP Officejet PRO 8600 and 8610.

     Both are suddenly telling me

'One or more cartriges appear to be damaged.'
     M and K

This happens with any cartridge set I put in either printer,

I have tried brand new setup cartridges, older refillables  and regular new and old cartrige sets.

I have taken apart both print heads and cleaned them completely
and replaced the gold tines in the print head with new ones bought on
ebay.

I managed to reset the partial reset on the 8600 once, and
it started asking me for setup cartriges which I gave it, but
I get the same error messages.

This is the same message on two machines, two printheads on either or both machines and
multiple sets of OEM cartridges, setup cartridges, and refillables.

What am I doing wrong, and what can I do about it.

     Thanks,

     Homer W. Smith

Defective printheads, needs replacement, probably will cost more than a new printer.
