Hi @LM76,
I'd like to help!
Do you see an OK or a hide option on the printer screen?
Meanwhile, try a power reset on the printer and then check
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Well, i've tried all the listed steps for reseting the printer with no results at all; there's no ok hide options more that the alert of the missing color cartdrige. At the end i've downloaded the last software for the product, and the result was that the solution hp center was modified missing options like scan and ink levels; still the missing cartridge message remains. I had to restore the windows system to get back the scan feature. The main reason for this topic was that i was trying to reach the menu to try to set wireless connection because i had no luck with the other methods in the manual. So i decided to stop trying and let this issue like it is, however i never had problems printing so far. I which for hp to revise in the future not to alert for missing color cartdrige, and improve for a simple method to connect the printer wireless not necesarily to a router, and finally to revise that latest software for older printers which downgrade actually the hp solution center. Thanks for trying to get a solution to the problem, P.D:: I know that if i buy a color cartdrige the message will go...lol...
