Hi,

I've printed my brochures on card stock for years on this same printer.  Recently it doesn't print right anymore on that particular paper.  It's the same paper I used for many years: 80Lb. cover to print brochures.  If I print the same document on regular paper it prints ok.  So I'm very puzzled why it reacts to this paper like that.  There are many misplaced spots, - printing the center of an image 1" to the right and the outer corners of the image where it's supposed to be.  Much of the color is pealing also.  It looks as if it doesn't take to this paper.  However, once again: I used this paper for many years, not just a few times before and it printed fine. All the settings are the same, the printer preferences, the paper preferences in the printing window etc. all the same as before.  It isn't anything that's not recommended or anything like that. This printer can take thicker card stock than that according to the options available in the paper options window.  Could it be that the imaging drum needs to be changed?  Why is it working properly on regular, thin, office paper then?

Thanks,

When using heavier papers you must set the printer and your driver for heavier paper so that the fuser compensates and applies more heat to fix the image.
