Hi Guys,
This worked for me, i hope it helps you.
Look under your printer General Settings on your printer, and turn off IPv6. I don’t know why or how it mattered, but that allowed the password entry
But yes, HP, get with the times........ it’s on you, HP.

Yep that works whilst data roaming is switch off. Once it is switched on the printer disconnects. FR is far more valuable to me than the printer connectivity direct...it connects fine with a wireless powerline connected to the Tenda.
Happy with this workaround

I was having the same issue with Tenda MW-6 and a HP Envy 4502 - I came across this other support article Connecting Printer to Tenda Nova MW6 mesh network - Page 2 - HP Support Community - 7478489 - disabling Fast Roaming from the Tenda WiFi app allowed me to connect to the printer to wifi, then I re-enabled Fast Roaming - so far so good

Hi
No matter what I tried, when I turned fast roaming back on the printer disconnected. Mesh without auto handover is like a bucket with holes in so I bit the bullet and bought a new printer....connected first time.
Time to get with progress HP
