My printer worked without a problem for the past year until a few days ago. Now it says it has a DNS/Gateway problem.
HP Scan and Print Doctor has been run and changes it required were done but the same problem remains. The test page printed without a problem.
I can print from Excel and PDF but have to click OK first to get rid of the error message "Connect printer to the internet to update your HP instant ink status". I cannot print from Word. It has an error message below the printer name when printing: Error - Delete: 1 document - yet there is no document waiting to be printed to delete.
I have the Printer IP address and following other instructions, placed it in the server and received the error message that the IP address returned no data.
I have steady lights both white and blue.
On the dashboard checking the wireless icon, it shows my router information and shows that it's connected.
I cannot connect to the router for the HP instant ink.
I cannot print from my iPhone any longer - it indicates that there is no internet connection.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Please browse to your printer's IP from any other device to launch its EWS page.
Open the Network tab and select your active connection type (Wired or Wireless) and select IPv4 Configuration.
Set a manual DNS as following and check if you may see any difference:
May you now see any difference?
If not, swipe down the top bar on the printer and click the wireless icon, then click the gear icon and select Restore Network Settings, be sure to confirm any shown prompt.
From the same wireless menu click the gear icon and follow the Wireless Setup Wizard, then follow the steps to reconnect to your network and check if you may see any difference.

I appreciate your solution. However, I've not been able to try it as yet. Putting the printer's IP address in the browser brings up an error page which says the IP address didn't send any data. I've double checked the IP by printing the "Web access test results." Is there a way via the computer under 'devices and printers' to reset the DNS manually?
On my iPhone the printer is listed under WiFi Settings. Since that setting has decided it's the default WiFi setting for my phone, in turning it off, it shows a different IP address for the printer than what the printer itself shows. However, that IP address also brought the error page.
I've already tried the Restore Network Settings and the Wireless Setup Wizard and that made no difference. The printer shows that its connected to my router.
I do appreciate your help.

Update - I was able to get the EWS page via the HP Print and Scan Doctor. Using the Printer menu and clicking on "Open Printer Web Page." It did not use the IP address, i.e. 123.456.789.1, format, but a long series, i.e. fe80::d111:24dd:abcd:9cdd, format (all are made up and obviously not valid addresses). I went to the manual DNS and put in the 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 but it made no difference.
I disabled the firewall and it made no difference. I have used the Wireless Setup Wizard but it too made no difference.
My printers shows a connection to my wifi router but the HP Network Configuration Page I printed out shows the internet is not connected. Clicking on Web Services, it shows that there is no internet connection and to contact the person that set up the printer. I still have the steady blue light.
What else can I do?

Please try restarting your router and allow it several minutes to start till the internet connection returns.
Next. restart the printer and check if you may see any difference.
If the same persists, swipe down the top bar of the printer and click the gear icon, then select Print Reports and print a Wireless Test Report.
Please include a picture of the printed report in your reply.

I've tried turning off the router and the printer several times over the past few days. It has made no difference. I've had the printer for almost a year and this DNS/Gateway error just popped up a few days ago.
I've deleted the name and information concerning my router. I do appreciate your help.
