HP Photosmart D7260

My HP Photosmart D7260 printer was on when the power went out in our neighborhood briefly. It was connected directly into a wall socket outlet. Now the blue power light turns on but the red warning light on the control panel is blinking and the touchscreen is dark. I have turned the machine on and off both from the power button and by unplugging the power cord from the back of the machine waiting several minutes before plugging the cord back in and turning the unit on again. I have removed all 6 ink cartridges and cleaned the contacts both on the cartridges and in the machine with a damp clean lint-free cloth before putting them back into the printer. I still have a dark touchscreen and a blinking warning light.

Prior to the power outage the printer was functioning well. Any advice?

With the power on, unplug the unit from the wall outlet.  Wait 10 mins.  Plug the unit back into the wall outlet not using any power strip or surge protector.  Power the unit up if it does not.  Status now?

If you do the above 2-3 time and the same occurs, your printer has failed.
