I did what you posted, pushing the panel with the gray latches till it clicked. 

Did a test with a 3 page document I'd just taken 11 trys to get 3 pages fully printed. After your fix the, the 3 pages document printed fully, with out having to print the pages one at a time.

This was the solution I needed, and immediately I read it I recalled clearing a paperjam fro under there!  Wish I  had seen your solution an hour ago!
