Envy 4500 won't print on photo paper

I have an Envy 4500 which will print on plain paper fine but as soon as i load photo paper it won't print on it.  I have tried different makes of paper and some it will pick up but then just smears across the back with nothing on thr front whilst others it just tells me to load paper.

Thanks, i have tried that but it still will not print onto photo paper.  It will print the photo on plain paper no problem but as soon as i put any type of photo paper in, it starts to try and print but cant get the paper then puts up a message telling me to load paper.  I have tried loading just one sheet and multiple sheets and still no printing.

I have also tried copying 20 blank pages to try and use the rollers a bit as detailed in another reply to somene with a similar issue but still no printing.

Thank you for trying out those steps and getting back to me.

Since the printer is not picking up the paper, I will recommend trying the steps listed in the document below. You can start at "Solution two: adjust the paper settings in the print driver".

If you get to "Solution 4: service the printer", then I will recommend you contact HP.

Contact HP:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/
Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect
Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"
Step 4. Scroll down and click on: HP contact options - click on Get phone number
Case number and phone number appear

Great, all sorted. I had dirty rollers!!

The only way I can print on photo paper (HP Card & Invitation Kit - "Compatible with all inkjet printers" and others) is to curl each sheet from front to back.  Put only one sheet in printer at a time.

Next printer I buy will have a straight paper path.

No error msgs, but misregisters every photo paper sheet. No customer satisfaction for Case Number : 5007411123 , Portal Invitation CRM:0000037854216  Shosma (support phone) tried turning call into sales and service contract.  Offered "discount" on ENVY 4520 that was current price at local retailers. It looks like the 4520 has similar issues with photo paper.  Unable to create profile on website, web issue. Zero satisfaction and resolution.
