I have had this printer for two years now and recently moved disconnecting and reconnecting it , I am not using the wifi option and have my computer set up to use the usb option to print. Recently the printer has started to show that there is a document waiting to print in the queue and shows on the screen that the document it printing, but then about two seconds later it printer stops as if the document had been finished but nothing has been printed.
I have already tried to re-instal and updating the software and the printer did the same thing. I have two of these printers (both envy 4502) and they are both having the same problem.
If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this problem your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey @Iwatson5,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.
I understand that you are having some issues with printing from your Windows 8 PC to your Envy 4502 e-All-in-One Printer. I can help you with that.
To start, make sure the printer is connected directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done:
- If your printer is connected to your PC through a USB cable, remove it.
- Close all programs you have open.
- In your search bar type in Printers and open Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
- Click on Remove Device.
- Repeat for any other icon of your printer listed.
- If you removed the USB cable, connect it. If not, click on Add Printer and follow the prompts to add a queue for your printer.
Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to resolve your issue, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.
