this worked for me, it is a windows 10 glitch that hp and windows haven't figure out how to fix.

  • Go to Devices and Printers
  • Select 'Add a printer'
  • "The printer that I want isn't listed"
  • "My printer is a little older. Help me find it."
  • My printer popped up as 'ENVY 4520 series (HP)'
  • "Replace my current driver"

I did this and the problem was solved. I spent weeks with the "professional computer experts" they couldn't fix it. My printer is working fine now and printing 2 sided and color copies again. Hope this helps.
