MY Envy 6432e printer shows an error code of E6 and despite following the instructions as to how to get rid of this it does not go away. I have tried reconnecting to wifi this does not help in anyway. Within the HP Smart App is shows the printer as "printer failure"

Hi @Cath71,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code E6 on your HP Envy 6432e printer typically indicates a hardware issue, often related to the printer mechanism or internal components. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Restart the Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can clear temporary errors.
Check for Paper Jams: Open the printer's input tray and output tray, and check for any paper jams or obstructions. Clear any jams carefully.
Inspect Ink Cartridges: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not empty. Sometimes, improper seating of cartridges or low ink levels can trigger errors.
Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for updates using the HP Smart app or from the printer's control panel.
Reset the Printer: Perform a partial reset of the printer by following these steps:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Wait for about 30 seconds, and then reconnect the power cord.
- Turn on the printer if it does not automatically turn on.
Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps resolve the issue and the error persists, it may indicate a more serious hardware problem.
Given that you've already tried reconnecting to Wi-Fi and the issue persists, focusing on these steps should help narrow down the cause.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
