Hi @Tofoot,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

An E6 error on your HP ENVY 6022e All-in-One Printer usually indicates a hardware issue, such as a problem with the printer's internal components or sensors. Since resetting the printer hasn’t resolved the issue, here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check for Obstructions: Open the printer’s access doors and look for any paper jams or foreign objects inside. Remove any visible obstructions carefully.

Check Ink Cartridges: Remove the ink cartridges and check for any issues. Make sure they are properly seated and not damaged. Reinstall them carefully.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Check HP’s website for the latest firmware updates and follow their instructions to update if necessary.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect all cables (power and USB).
  • Wait for 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the cables and turn the printer back on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hello
I called the after-sales service and they intervened on the printer remotely. They discovered that the ink cartridges were defective. I removed the black cartridge and the problem was resolved. I put a new black cartridge and the problem didn't come back.

I have same problem and actually happened since HP sent me new ink! Just can't seem to fix the issue, even did a full factory reset
