HP Officejet 4632 e-All-in-One Printer

Hi,

i had a print job issue before, and i cleared all stuck print jobs in the queue.

Now my printer shows ERROR CODE OXB8111B54, and nothing moves on.

I tried to switch of, also disconnect from power for minutes. Nothing.

The carriage is fixed in the normal start position on the right side, but i can't move it,

as mentioned in some of the posts.

Additional: When i press the power button after the first error code has shown.

The next error code comes up: OX83C000A NOS_LOADER_APP

But as already mentioned, i can't remove the carriage. It's fixed at the right side in the start position.

How can i reset my printer?

Hi @DonIng ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the error codes you're encountering on your HP Officejet 4632 e-All-in-One Printer (OXB8111B54 and OX83C000A NOS_LOADER_APP) typically point to a firmware issue or an internal hardware malfunction. Let's attempt some steps to try resetting the printer or solving the problem:

Steps to Reset the Printer:

Hard Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds to ensure all residual power is drained.
  • While the printer is unplugged, press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back into a direct wall outlet (avoid surge protectors or power strips).
  • Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Perform a Partial Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cable.
  • While the printer is off, press and hold the # and 6 buttons on the printer's control panel.
  • While holding these buttons, reconnect the power cord.
  • Continue holding the buttons until the printer starts and you see the "Partial Reset" message on the display.
  • Release the buttons and allow the printer to reset.

Firmware Recovery: If the error persists, it could be a firmware corruption. You may need to recover the printer’s firmware:  Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Press and hold the Power button, and while holding it, press the Cancel button.
  • Continue holding both buttons for 10-15 seconds, then release.
  • If the printer responds and starts, try connecting it to your computer and checking for any available firmware updates via the HP Smart app or HP Support Assistant.

Check for Blockages: Since you mentioned the carriage is fixed in place, ensure that there are no visible obstructions:

  • Open the printer door.
  • Look for any paper jams or small debris that might be blocking the carriage movement.
  • If nothing is visible, avoid forcing the carriage, as this might cause more damage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
