Hi!
My printer has been fine until recently when it got something stuck inside and the paper was loaded unevenly. After it got fixed by removing unknown object in paper feeder, it can print and scan normally. However, when I press both Black and white and Color scan button, the printer do not print the test page anymore, but the page to report its info, at the end of which states "ErrorCode: 00000000". I found some dialogue in the forum mentioning steps to reset the printer but it didn't help at all.
I also tried Windows' troubleshooter and HP Print and Scan Doctor, newly installed, but they detect no problem. What can I do now?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @PA00370,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might still be a residual issue with the printer's internal settings or hardware after the jam was cleared. Here are a few steps to try to resolve the "ErrorCode: 00000000" issue on your HP Deskjet 1510 All-in-One printer.
Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds to ensure any residual power is drained.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Try printing or scanning again to see if the issue persists.
Check for Paper Jams Again
- Double-check that no small bits of paper or debris are still stuck inside the printer, especially around the paper feeder, ink cartridges, and rollers.
- Make sure the paper is properly aligned and loaded, with the correct type of paper for printing or scanning.
Reset the Printer to Factory Settings
If the reset mentioned in the forum didn't help, try the following method to restore factory settings:
- With the printer powered on, press and hold the Cancel (X) button and the Start Copy Black button at the same time.
- Hold both buttons for about 10 seconds.
- Release the buttons and see if the printer returns to its default settings. Then, test printing and scanning again.
Check Printer Driver and Software
- Reinstall HP Printer Drivers: Sometimes, errors like this can be caused by outdated or corrupted drivers.
- Uninstall your current printer driver from Control Panel > Devices and Printers or Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Visit HP’s official support site to download and install the latest drivers for your Deskjet 1510.
- Run HP Print and Scan Doctor Again: Even though you ran it once, try it again after reinstalling the drivers. Sometimes, a fresh driver installation can help resolve issues that the tool didn’t catch previously.
Check the Ink Cartridges
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and not running low on ink. Sometimes, errors can occur if the printer detects a cartridge issue.
Check for Software Conflicts
- If you have any third-party printer management software installed, try temporarily disabling or uninstalling it, as it could be interfering with normal printer functions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Alden4!
Thank you for your suggestions. Since I've already tried other solutions before posting here, I only tried the only one left, Reset the Printer to Factory Settings, and it works well now, the default test page is back! I'm so glad I posted here because the solution was not mentioned anywhere else.
Thanks again and have a nice day!
