Same problem as in https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printing-Errors-or-Lights-Stuck-Print-Jobs/Error-code-B8077DF6/td-p/85... and solution seems not working. Printer restarts and on the display you get a message such as it was previously not switched off properly (when you unplug the pwr cable) and you should use the pwr on/off button. When doing that the problems reappears. What I need to do?

Perform a Manual Reset
Sometimes a full reset can help clear any internal errors:

- Unplug the power cable from both the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cable directly into a wall outlet (avoid using a power strip).
- Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.
Update Firmware
Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or phone.
- Go to Printer Settings > Advanced Settings > Tools > Printer Updates.

Thank you.
Left it for a couple of days with unplugged pwr cable.
Restarted
Pirnting ok
At pwr/off problem restarted
Tried to check drivers updates: error message as ""printer could not connect"
Printed Web access test results
Printing was OK (wifi on but printing goes normal via USB, connection type on setting is USB)
Restore network not tried
At pwr/off (this time pressing a slightly longer time than before. Problem disappeared
Will note here if problem persist in future.

So short update.
Problem always there.
Solution: I need to switch off -- unplug -- leaving so for sometime say 15 mins -- replug
When switching off normally push the button just a little bit, not too long though.
Then it is ok, till next time.
I understand that printers are cheap and HP makes money from supplies but that i need to leave with this with this printer it is a bit of a shame.

@albedo2, thanks for the update — really appreciate you sharing what’s worked (even if it's a bit of a workaround).
I totally get how frustrating it is to deal with this every time you power off the printer. That’s definitely not the smooth experience we want for you.
Since the issue keeps coming back, even after resets, it may be worth doing a full factory reset as a next step. Sometimes this helps clear out persistent glitches:
To do a factory reset (steps may vary slightly by model):
On the printer screen, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults.
Confirm the reset and let the printer restart.
Let me know how it goes!
