How to Fix HP Printer Error 0XB8047A25 (or B8047A26)
Power Reset (Hard Reset)

  • Turn on the printer if it isn't already.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord straight into a wall outlet (skip power strips for now) and back into the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on.[1]

Clear Carriage Obstructions

  • Open the cartridge access door while the printer is on.
  • Look for any jammed paper or physical blockages in the path.
  • Gently slide the cartridge carriage from side to side to make sure it moves freely.
  • Close the door and check if the error clears.[1]

Update Firmware

  • Open the HP Smart app or check the printer's control panel menu.
  • Navigate to Settings or Printer Maintenance and select Update the Printer to install any pending firmware patches.[1, 2, 3]
