There are two approaches you can try.

  1. Turn off IPv6

Click SETUP from control panel.
Select “Network Setup”
Select “Advance Settings”
Turn off IPv6
Click Yes

 

  1. Update firmware.

Click SETUP from control panel.
Select “Printer Maintenance”
Select “Update the printer”
Turn on printer update options

Select “check for printer updates now”

Hi,  Do power cycle your printer and then update your printer.

 

 

Select "setup" from your control panel.

Select "Tools"

Scroll down and select "update the printer"

 

The latest FW will solve this issue.

This was no help.  I can find nothing that says "Advanced Settings" on my HP envy 5055 screen.  So I cannot turn off the IPv6 tab, can I?

I am sorry you can not find IPv6 on your printer. You can run a small program that will do it automaticaly for you. I tis on our HP website and is called Print Scan Doctor. Here is the link:
