Hello, at the beginning of last year my daughter bought an HP Deskjet 2700 and subscribed to instant ink. In August last year she decided that she did not want to continue with this subscription and cancelled it. She bought brand new ink cartridges and replaced the instant ink cartridges, but was unable to actually print anything. I am not sure what issues she encountered, but the printer then sat in her house doing nothing for the past 8 months, until she finally asked me if I would have a look to see if I could get it working. I now have the printer attached to my PC using a USB cable and I have now managed to get it to print but not without some remaining issues and I hope that someone will be able to advise how to overcome these final issues.
At all times, the Information button on the printer is shining orange and if I press it it prints out a printer information page with 4 items on it.
1. It states that the printer email address is not available at this time. It then explains how to get the email address.
2. It states that the printer might not be connected to HP instant ink anymore and explains that without that connection the printer will not be able to print with instant ink cartridges.
3. It states that the printer is not connected to a network. It then explains how to turn the wifi on.
4. It explains what wifi direct is and how to use it.
It does not matter how many times I press the "I" button, the printer keeps on printing the same page and the light stays on. But I do not know how to stop the printer from giving this message. The message about instant ink is irrelevant, because the subscription has been cancelled. The printer does not need to be connected to a network, it is connected via USB. And the point about wifi direct is nice to know but not relevant.
My daughter could probably live with this constant orange light and would just not press it. However, the fact that there is this constant message results in a more annoying problem. Every time that you print anything, the "Resume" button lights up and the printer will not print the document until the "Resume" button is pressed. This means that you cannot send a number of different items to the printer in a queue and then go to the printer at a later time to retrieve the prints. You have to literally stand by the printer and press the "Resume" button between each item. Can anyone please how to stop this constant error/information message being put out by the printer, because it is making the printer unusable. Thanks in anticipation.

@popperjoe, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
To resolve this issue, let us perform a factory reset on the printer.
- The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
- I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
- In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Just connected with an HP support tech and they told me they can't tell me how to factory reset the printer because the warranty expired. Are you kidding me? this is the biggest joke ever. I will never buy an HP printer ever again.
