Hi @Jpemn
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The C4F512 error on your HP Envy printer typically indicates a problem with the printer's ink system or a hardware issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the error:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Open the printer and check the ink cartridges. Make sure they are installed correctly and securely.
- If any cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new ones. Sometimes, even if they appear to have ink, they might not be functioning properly.
Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:
- Remove the ink cartridges and clean the copper contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water. Allow them to dry before reinstalling.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions inside the printer. Remove any stuck paper and clear any debris.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the HP Support website for your printer model and check for firmware updates. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve error codes.
Reset the Printer:
- If the error persists, you may need to perform a factory reset. Check your printer’s manual for instructions on how to reset it.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
