Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand and I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9130e. Let's go through some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the errors:
Event Code Descriptions
The specific event codes you mentioned relate to various types of errors:
- F0.01.01.02 Critical Error: This typically indicates a severe malfunction that requires immediate attention.
- F0.04.02.03 Warning Error: This is usually less severe but still indicates an issue that needs addressing.
- F0.03.09.05 Error: This could be related to network or communication problems.
Troubleshooting Steps
Restart the Printer: As you mentioned, restarting helps temporarily. Ensure the printer is completely powered off before turning it back on.
Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Update Firmware and Drivers:
- Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or HP's website.
- Update the drivers on both your Windows 10 laptop and MacBook Air. Update the firmware on an HP printer
Check Network Connection:
- Make sure the WiFi connection is stable. Try placing the printer closer to the router to avoid signal issues.
- Restart your router.
Reset Network Settings on the Printer:
- Reset the network settings on the printer and reconfigure the WiFi connection.
- Go to the printer's control panel, navigate to "Setup" > "Network Setup" > "Restore Network Settings".
Reinstall Printer on Devices:
- Remove the printer from your devices and reinstall it.
- On Windows: Go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & Scanners", remove the printer, and then add it back.
- On Mac: Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners", remove the printer, and then add it back.
Check for Obstructions or Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any obstructions or paper jams that might be causing errors.
- Ensure all printer parts are securely in place.
- Use HP Smart App: The HP Smart app can help diagnose and fix issues. Make sure you have it installed and use it to troubleshoot.
