Hi @Treatyclayton

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code 62.80.13 on your HP printer indicates that the print head is not being recognized or is improperly installed. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Print Head Installation:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the printer access door and carefully remove the print head.
  • Inspect it for any damage and ensure that it’s seated correctly when you reinstall it. It should click into place securely.

Clean the Print Head Contacts:

  • Use a lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly dampened with distilled water to clean the electrical contacts on the print head and the corresponding contacts in the printer. Allow everything to dry completely before reassembling.

Check Ink Cartridges:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and that they are not empty or damaged. Sometimes, issues with the cartridges can trigger print head errors.

Reset the Printer:

  • After reinstalling the print head and cartridges, plug the printer back in and turn it on. This can help reset any temporary errors.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer on, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn the printer on.

Update Firmware:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer. You can do this through the HP Smart app or the HP website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
