Can i suggest you contact Lenovo as well either via twitter or on their support forum. I have done this.

Not just a lenovo problem. I have the same problem with my Acer Chromebook.

Was printing OK until a few days ago.  

Can still print via HP print services, but this is a long winded way of doing it.

Wir haben das gleiche Problem, ich auf dem Acer Spin 513 und meine Frau auf dem Lenovo IdeaPad Duet. Wie man an meinem Druckverlauf sehen kann, funktioniert drucken weder mit dem HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28 M28w noch mit dem HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe. Diese hatte ich extra neu erworben, weil ich dachte, der Drucker ist das Problem. Scannen funktioniert mit dem Chromebook, drucken vom Android Mobiltelefon auch. Bis jetzt funktionierte der Drucker einwandfrei.Nun kann ich keinerlei Typen von Dokumenten mehr drucken und das in Zeiten von Homeoffice, eine Sauerei! Wird das Problem nicht gelöst, muss ich zu Windows wechseln, drucken ist wichtig! Wer ist das Problem, Google oder HP? Im Chromebook Hilfezentzrum gibt es zahlreiche Posts auf Englisch über das selbe Problem. Das zeigt, dass es ein globales Problem ist!Evtl. wurde ein Zertifikat nicht verlängert?

We have the same problem, me on the Acer Spin 513 and my wife on the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet. As you can see from my print history, printing does not work with either the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M28 M28w or the HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe. I had bought this new because I thought the printer was the problem. Scanning works with the Chromebook, printing from the Android mobile phone too. The printer has worked flawlessly so far. Now I can no longer print any type of document, and in times of home office, it's a mess! If the problem is not solved, I will have to switch to Windows, printing is important! Who's the problem, Google or HP? There are numerous posts in English on the Chromebook Help Center about the same issue. This shows that it is a global problem! was a certificate not renewed?

I had also put a note on to the chrome os forum so thanks for the additional link.

My workaround is to save any document as pdf and print it using the hp android printer app.

On my HP Chromebook 11a to an HP6830 Officejet.   Print as image didn't resolve the issue (filter failed).  However, able to print from Moto  g power mobile phone and samsung chromebook.  Problem seems to be HP chromebook

it is impacting a number of different brands including acer and lenovo. Though I can agree that not every brand is impacted as my asus is working fine.

Thank you. I factory reset chromebook and printer - no luck.  Embedded Web Server works fine. Printer seems fine. So, the comms between HP chromebook os (Version 97.0.4692.91 (Official Build) (32-bit)) and printer is funky?
