Dear Kumar,
By now there are 4 pages' worth of comments regarding this issue that suddenly appeared 2 weeks ago regarding Chromebooks (mostly) and "filter failed" message when trying to print to an HP. Numerous related comments are also on the Chrome forum. Can you please escalate this issue to HP Support management? It is not just a minor nuisance; it is negatively impacting all our productivity. Thank you.

However, to increase its visibility I am told more that more people need to add the report and to star it (top left hand corner). It is currently a P3 😞

I wish someone from either HP or Google would just own the fact that you can't even print USB from Chromebooks to HP printers.
I have an HP Laser Jet Pro M15w and all was going swimmingly until a couple of months ago-- now I can't get it to print "Filter Failure". Again, Let me restate this-- "filter failure" with a one page dummy test pdf with only the words, "HP can't print from a chromebook" on the file--- not a lot of memory involved.
I slapped the cord in my wife's HP laptop and it printed faster than you can say, "HP can't print from a chromebook".
If some non-engineering type would just admit it doesn't work, I'll fold my tent and go home.

Hi Kumar. I am having the same problem on my Acer chromebookto my HP OfficeJet8600 pro printer. I, along with the dozens of commenters to this thread, am eager for a fix! Can you please advise us when that will be coming? Thank you.
