Find WPS Pin NUMBER

How do you make it appear in the Printer Menu is the real question?

Is it "Go to Wireless Setting->WiFi Protected Setup->Mindmeld to generate  a pin?"

I am having the exact same problem with my HP 6970 and am unable to locate a WPS PIN # anywhere.  HP is not of any help at all.

I added the Officejet Pro 8710 printer to my laptop by clicking on Control panel->Devices and Printers->ADD A DEVICE (not add a printer). I did not need to enter a WPS PIN what ever that is.

Thanks for the info!  It was the tip i needed to get my computer to talk to my printer.
