Hi,
Following a firmware upgrade earlier this morning (Thursday,29/09/2022) to my HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw model the printer now gives persistent Service Error 79 messages.
The printer keeps rebooting in a loop-like fashion.Once rebooted it stays active for a short time before generating the same 79 service error, shutting down and rebooting again!
The printer is still under warranty so I would be grateful for a solution or any advice.
Thankyou.

Just wanted to chime in that I had the same issue following the recent firmware and my issue seems to have been solved now as well. I also disabled automatic firmware updates as a result.
Update: After working for a few hours, the symptom returned.

Hi,
Thanks for post.
Rather then expecting users to disable the automatic software update feature wouldn't it be better for HP to remove the rogue update from their update web server(s)???
Deactivating the update feature might mean missing out on other potential, critical and important updates.
Regards,
