It would be faster to return it and get a new one like I did! Or maybe an Epson or Canon!

I have the similar issue with my HP ENVY Photo 7800.  All the buttons flash and the screen has a blurry symbol of the power symbol.  Firmware is current on the printer.  Printer works fine after a power reset but then the issue comes back hours later.

Please help.

I spent a few hours on the phone with support with no resolution. They told me that this was a new printer model and they would work to find a fix. After reading that many are having the same issue, why continue selling it before finding a viable solution? After an offer to replace the printer, i took it back and bought an Epson. Too many malfunctions with HP printers.

I have the newest version of this printer that I got at Costco, 7858.  Same issue and it's getting worse.  Seems this has been going on for some time.  You'd think they would find a solution!!!

Sad to see this still happening and still being sold and...still occurring even on the 7858!!

Someone from Dev Support had me ship my old printer directly to them.

HP should really chime in here with some updates, else they will continue to lose customers.

My 1 year old HP Laser printer decided to commit suicide with a perpetual initializing cycle so I bought the HP Envy Photo 7855. I brought it home and unpacked it today. I even signed up for the monthly ink supply. Within an hour of setup it has gone to a gray screen with 4 power symbols and flashing lights. It appears this issue has been going on for several months with brand new units. Nice job HP... now I get to deal with your foreign help line and be on hold forever. If they dont pick up soon I will take this back to the store and never buy HP again. Your own Forum makes it obvious you dont care enough to stop selling bad equipment.

I just bought the 7855 yesterday, 4/12/18  Sorry I didn't look it up before hand.  Because after one day out of the box, I'm now getting the exact same IMG_20180413_104743658.jpgthing.  flashing lights and power symbols and it will not print.  Is there any update from HP on this?

I have a HP Envy 7155 and I get a flashing of lights with the power button on the display panel and an error code of b3c4abe5

Do any of you get this? What works? It happened after my daughter tried to print from her chrome book, which she has successfully been able to do before.  We are able to get it to scan and copy and print diagnostics so I don't think it is a function of the paper or ink.  If I shut off power and restart the error code goes away but it still will not print.  We were able to get it to print a paper from my husband's macbook, but when we tried again it threw the same error code.

It is plugged in to the wall outlet, not a power surge protector. (It was, but after reading this we plugged it into the wall)

Return the printer and get an Epson, Canon or Brother. HP still hasn't fixed this across many models for a couple years now!
