We sold an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301 to a client and it has been defective since day one. The device constantly freezes, cannot copy, cannot scan, and throws multiple F0 errors on every reboot, even after full resets.

We’ve spent hours with HP Support doing the same things over and over:

  • Factory reset

  • NVRAM reset

  • Firmware update

  • Reconfigure from scratch

Nothing works.
This printer is broken at the hardware/firmware level.

We found multiple HP Community posts with identical issues, meaning this is not an isolated case, the 4301 series clearly has a widespread problem:

HP refuses to RMA. The supplier refuses a return because the box was discarded, even though the unit has never worked properly from the minute it was plugged in.

We’re an MSP, and after this experience, we will no longer sell HP printers.

If HP wants to keep business customers, this needs to be escalated and dealt with, this device needs to be replaced.
