Ok im having problems with my HP Inkjet Advantage 5525

It was working perfectly until recently.

Any printing I do now is skewed and also truncated at the top of the document. So aot of title headings I print out are either missing or partially showing.

I go through the usual steps of alignign the printer in fact ive done every system test / check available hoping this would solve the problem bt it hasn't.

Hi @abudhabimaori,

Thank you for reaching out to the HP Support Forums!

I noticed that you're experiencing alignment issues with your HP Ink Advantage 5525 Printer. I would be happy to look into this with you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.

Thank you for the copies of the printed pages. It sounds like there could an issue with the hardware or a driver problem.

First, we need to perform a test to check the hardware. The alignment doesn't print high enough along the top to duplicate the issue.

To test the hardware functionality, perform the following.

Copy:
  • Please place a good quality printout (with proper alignment at the top) and perform a copy.
  • What were the results?
Printer Status Report:
  • From the Home screen, touch the Settings icon, and then touch Tools.
  • Touch Printer Status Report.
  • Evaluate the results.
If the copy printed correctly, this would indicate that there is an issue with the print driver or the printing system.

Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
Restart the computer.

Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset Printing System.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.

Add the printer:
Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button. Do not add the AirPrint Driver.

Now, try printing again.
What were the results?

I hope this information is helpful. Please respond to this post with the results. Good Luck!
