HP Deskjet GT 5820
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Everytime I power on my printer, I get this error saying Incompatible Ink Cartrdiges. Then I open doors and press the blue lock open and close it again by pressing down. Power off the printer and power it on again. Now, printer works properly without error.

After few minutes, I get the same error again. What may be the issue?

It's a brand new printer and new cartridges.

Are the ink cartridges genuine, HP brand? I’ve tried using an alternative brand to HP ones but had this error message each time.  It wasn’t only when used genuine cartridges message went away for me.

Not sure if this will work, but after a google search found this link from the HP support page that may or may not help.

if it doesn’t work, can you take machine back to where you bought it as could be technical fault?

Thank you for taking time out and replying. I have tried this link before posting here. It didn't work. I have contacted HP support. They are sending an engineer to tackle this hardware issue. Thanks once again.
