I have 3 brand new cartridges in my printer, when I installed the latest firmware (MPM3CN2011AR) yesterday the printer suddenly started giving the infamousThere is a problem with the printer or ink system error.
When I install the old cartridges it doesn't give that error and says that those are empty which they are. I've installed and reinstalled the old cartridges vs new cartridges a number of times now (and did a full factory reset) and the problem still persists.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I haven't printed a single page with these new cartridges and every time you swop them they report 20% less ink so they are "almost empty" even though they are still full/new.

@Chris395, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I understand you are not able to print due to this error. To assist you better, are you using HP ink cartridges?
Kindly perform the steps mentioned in these documents - An 'Ink System Failure' or 'System Supply Problem' Error Displays and Ink cartridge errors
If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options(if using HP ink cartridges).
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.
