Hi!

We recently purchased some new black genuine ink (HP903XL) - we only ever used genuine ink. The printer decided not to print in black AT ALL after this!

Some information:

- It is not faint or anything, black is missing COMPLETELY off every page every time

- Yes I did however try the printer head cleaning, it did not help

- Turned it off/on/unplugged already, did not help

- It doesn't matter if I start the printing from my computers or just printing a printer status report from the printer itself

- scanning still works

- black and white photocopying results in a completely blank page

- colour photocopying results in really bright images, black is missing

- This is not my first printer and not my first cartridge. I believe I did everything the way I should: (1) removed the orange plastic bit, (2) removed the plastic foiling around the cartridge

- I blowed into the hole on the top of the cartridge, airflow is good because ink does come out the bottom when I do it

- If I remove the cartridge, it does seem like ink did not come out of it into the printhead, there is not black ink there. When I check the colour cartridges, there I can see the ink underneath.

- Before changing the cartridge the printing worked. The old cartridge was not completely empty, just low, so I tried with the old cartridge, did not work

- The printer is out of warranty and since I already opened the cartridge I cannot return that either

Please let me know if there is anything I can do do fix this. It seems very much like the cartridge "told" the printer to never work again, and if I have to buy a new one I will go crazy.

Thank you
