After using my HP Deskjet 3755 for a year or two to print from my laptop, suddenly one day it wouldn't print and simply started saying "error printing" every time I tried, regardless of the file type. I can still print from my phone and my husband can print from his phone (wirelessly). I have fully unplugged the printer many times, and I've also uninstalled and reinstalled the full printer drivers at least 3 times. One time after coming home from a vacation, I was able to print a single document successfully from my laptop before it reverted to saying "error." I have the latest update to Windows 10 installed. I don't know what else to do or what could possible be wrong. Has anyone else had this issue?

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I suggest you download and run the HP Print And Scan Doctor from this Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe
Run PSDR v5.0.2
Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.
Select the correct Printer and click on Next.
PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing
Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.
Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”
PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.
Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue. If no issue found close PSDR.
Keep me posted how it goes 😊

Hi KrazyToad,
I did as you instructed and, although things didn't proceed exactly as you outlined in your message, the scan doctor did detect some ink issue. I do not know what the issue was, but I took out the cartridges and put them back in, then clicked on "retry." The scan doctor continued to say there was a problem with the ink, so eventually I had to select "skip." I then printed a test page. I then tried to print several documents from my computer and suddenly I was able to print!! So whatever happened magically seemed to fix the problem. Thank you so much! Do you know what the problem was? I haven't been able to print for about 6 months, and my printer never gave me any kind of error with regard to the ink cartridges. In any case, I'm so glad the problem seems to be fixed (at least for now). Thank you again.
