ENVY 4500
Microsoft Windows Vista (64-bit)

I have an HP laptop with MS Vista and an HP Printer ENVY 4500 connected wirelessly.  It has been working for some time now until recently.

The problem I am having is that I cannot print my emails.  I use Orange email from their web server.  The laptop communicates with the printer and a blank page is produced.

I can print a PDF document and a test print also works successfully.  I can print emails from another laptop which suggests that the problem is within my HP laptop.

I have deleted the printer from the system and reinstalled it successfully to no avail.  I have checked all the settings and cannot see anything untoward.

Because it had been working before I get the feeling that it is something simple (is there such a beast with computers?), but for the life of me, I cannot get it.

Any suggestions, please?

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you.

I used Internet Explorer instead of Firefox and all was well.  I can now print emails and web pages, so the problem is with the browser print settings.  I intend to uninstall Firefox and then reinstall it as probably this is the quickest way to resolve the problem.

Thank you very much for the advice about where I was printing from.  In my long list of things to check that was the one I was missing.  All the boxes are ticked now.  Ta!

Regards

Hey @gcon,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!

I see that you are having some issues with printing from Orange email to your Envy 4500 e-All-in-One Printer. If you are having issues with Orange Email, but can print other documents with no issues, it sounds like there is an issue with Orange. I suggest contacting Orange for further assistance.

Thanks for your reply, but as I said, it will print the Orange email from another laptop.

Alright, to narrow down the issue, what program are you printing from on the first computer and what program are you printing from on the other computer?

Thanks, I missed that one.  When I get a chance I will use a different browser and get back to you.
